Asset attention badges
Attention badges on each Asset Register row, and the Needs attention panel on each asset detail page, are generated from the asset record itself. They surface records that need follow-up — missing owners, overdue reviews, missing MFA status, missing backup status, missing linked evidence, or missing vendor links. Fixing the asset record removes the badge.
Open the Asset Register. The summary line above the table shows how many items need attention across how many assets. Each row shows up to three badges; "+N more" indicates further items visible on the asset detail page. Open the asset and use the Needs attention panel — each item carries a direct action link (for example, Add business owner, Link evidence, Link vendor).
Surfacing items at the row level keeps the register feeling like a register first, not a diagnostic screen. Because badges read straight from the asset record, addressing the record is also what removes the badge — there is no separate state to clear.
Owner, admin, and director users can optionally track selected gaps as Issue Register items via the secondary "Track asset gaps in Issue Register" section below the asset table. Managers see the badges but not the issue sync controls. Issue sync is manual only — no background scan, no emails, and no external services are contacted.
