Understanding policy quality checks
Cleverer automatically checks uploaded policy documents against the concepts expected for that document type. Each document receives a quality status: "Audit risk" (critical concepts missing), "Not suitable" (document too short or fragmented), "Not readable" (format not supported), or "Needs review" (some gaps detected).
Look for coloured badges next to documents in your policy register. Red badges ("Audit risk", "Not suitable", "Not readable") indicate documents that weaken your compliance posture. Amber badges ("Needs review") indicate documents that could be improved.
A policy that exists but lacks required content is worse than no policy at all — it creates a false sense of coverage. Quality checks ensure your policies actually support compliance.
Use "Fix this with Cleverer" next to any flagged document to generate a structured replacement. The replacement is created as a draft for your review before adoption.
